ShopDog Vans are engineered and designed for rugged travel and off-grid adventures featuring refined, handcrafted interiors with high quality finishes.

Building out van interiors requires a unique skill set in order to work to fine tolerances, build within curved spaces, build for strength and durability to withstand road vibrations, and to maintain high quality throughout. We are looking for an individual that will not only be responsible for fabrications and installations, but also work as a part of the team to develop our product by designing new innovations and refining our standard details. Responsibilities: Work on a team to design, build, assemble and install mechanical and electrical systems and related van components in our custom camper vans. Rotate through different tasks as well as perform the same or similar tasks through multiple camper vans. Workers may grow into leadership positions when they're ready.

Our vans are all custom-made, but typically include 12 volt electrical systems that include lithium iron phosphate batteries, solar panels, DC-DC chargers, inverters, circuit distribution and controls. Mechanically, our vans include either forced-air or hydronic heaters, air conditioners, and potable water distribution.

Requirements include:

- Mechanical or electrical experience in a related field.
- Must be reliable, have initiative, be committed and quality focused.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to safely operate tools
- Ability to calculate precise measurements
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
- Follow directions and ask for clarification/help if needed
- Ability to work independently and in a small team
- Strong work ethic and communication
- Must have strong command of English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Drivers License and transportation to our shop located in St. Pauls.

Assets:

- Experience with vehicle modifications.
- Experience converting a van
- Interest and experience with van life
- Dog lover

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. Pauls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Mechanical / electrical: 2 years (required)
