**The opportunity**
Manulife is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to spearhead planning and design for various technology initiatives within our Global Cybersecurity Services team. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory cybersecurity requirements (and guidance) and support our service teams efforts to drive compliance
- Research and analyze improvement opportunities, conduct analysis, prepare recommendations, and facilitate efficiency enhancements
- Review and assess the results of control testing against regulatory requirements, and identify control gaps or non-existent controls for remediation
- Build and maintain a library of global regulatory controls as well as the inter-relationships of those controls with both internal and similar external controls (common across regulators)
- Facilitate the regulatory change management process to assess new (or drafted) regulations against the current control environment to pre-assess Manulife’s compliance status
- Work with the GCS Service Areas to help define and improve Information Security practices. Proactively identify issues with workflows and processes; suggests improvements to management
- Report on security metrics and regulatory compliance across all GCS technical domains
- Maintain awareness of current and emerging threats and stay abreast of current and developing regulations

**What we are looking for**
- 4 years of relevant information security and information risk management experience
- Experience with information security risk frameworks and assessment methodologies, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27002
- 2 years of relevant experience of regulatory compliance within a technical domain
- Experience with technology processes, policies, standards, and controls
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory trends and developments within technical disciplines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented.
- An effective facilitator that drives incremental and iterative successes
- Natural ability to breakdown, decompose and describe work efforts
- Seeks coaching from experts
- Attends advanced training on analysis skills and business knowledge
