HSN is seeking an experienced, talented clinical leader for the position of Vice President, Mental Health, NEO Kids, Women’s Health and Social Accountability with a proven track record of building successful teams and partnerships to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and outstanding patient experiences. Under the leadership of the President and Chief Executive Officer, this leader will be a system thinker and excellent communicator with the ability to plan and implement change, and creatively achieve results. They will possess the skills and credibility to inspire a division of 1,300 employees, earn the trust of medical staff, local and regional partners, Ontario Health and colleagues from over 20 partner hospitals, while managing a budget of $125 million. The Vice President, Mental Health, NEO Kids, Women’s Health and Social Accountability leads the divisions of Mental Health and Addictions, NEO Kids, Family and Women’s+, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Pathology services, Ethics, Spiritual and Religious Care, and Infection Prevention and Control at HSN. The Vice President also serves as the President of the Sudbury Vascular Laboratory where they, under the general direction of the Board, have the responsibility for the general management and direction of the business.
**KEY FUNCTION**:
Provide oversight, strategic leadership and promote innovation and quality patient and family-centered care for the delivery of clinical and academic services, for the Mental Health and Addictions Program, NEO Kids, Family and Women’s+ Program, Pharmacy,, Laboratory and Pathology services, Ethics, Spiritual and Religious Care and Infection Prevention and Control.
**REP**O**RTIN**G**:
Under the general direction of the President and Chief Executive Officer.
**DUTIES**:
- Provide organizational leadership to HSN’s strategic plan to enable the ongoing sustainability of improvement in care processes and clinical best practices in patient care.
- Provide system and local leadership on priority initiatives (e.g. Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence Oversight Council, Regional Ontario Health Teams etc.).
- Participate in and provide guidance to provincial and regional task forces and working groups regarding the development of provincial guidelines, standards, initiatives and implementation plans in the area of mental health and addictions, pediatric care and clinical services.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key community mental health stakeholders; align partnerships with program and community needs.
- Provide organizational leadership to HSN strategic plan priorities with focus on Social Accountability goals and outcomes.
- Jointly appoint and oversee medical leaders responsible for clinical quality improvement programs in the areas of mental health and addictions, pediatrics, and clinical services.
- Oversee service capacity planning in all aspects of the portfolio with particular focus on capital planning for pediatric care, mental health and addictions, and clinical services as identified in the HSN strategic plan.
