Civil Foreman

We are looking for experienced civil works/excavation foreman to join our team.

The foreman’s duties are:

- Supervising and coordinating daily activities of field crews.
- Fill daily logs, keep track of crew hours, trucks, progress, etc.
- Coordinate with superintendents and/or project management and ensure all resources (people, materials, and equipment) are in place each day.
- Operating heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Monitor and report project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance

Qualifications, Experience & Skillset
- 5 years of experience as lead hand or foreman, and a solid understanding of all aspects of Civil works and Earthworks
- Extensive knowledge of water and sewer main installation
- Extensive knowledge of shoring installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety regulations
- Proficient in the operation of various excavation equipment
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License and be able to travel to sites across the region.
- First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset.
- Flexibility with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
