Reporting to the Executive Director, the Day Program Facilitator is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and evaluating the recreation and leisure programs and services relative to the identified needs of Tanguay Place Day Program Clients.
- Promoting Day Program Clients’ physical abilities, assisting clients with leisure education and supporting their recreational and leisure pursuits.
- Planning and support of community outings and social integration.
- Providing our day program clients with opportunities to develop skills for recreation and leisure pursuits.
- Facilitate the pursuit of community recreation, leisure activities and other special events.
- Promote appropriate day program client behaviour and social conduct at all times.
- Maintain client files on Point Click Care system to ensure participant progress, care plans are being adhered to, and challenges can be identified.
- Encourage, promote and expand our volunteer network and recommend appropriate recognition of volunteer services.

**Qualifications**: A team player who is an enthusiastic, well organized, patient and self-directed individual. Education in a related field as well as experience working with adults with a disability. Volunteer experience would be an asset. Have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive the Tanguay Place van to provide transportation and accompany day program clients to and from activities and outings. Be available Monday to Friday. Maintaining effective working relationships with all staff, volunteers, students, day program clients, and their families/support workers. Able to work independently and as a team member. Promote a positive awareness and image of Tanguay Place with the public and other community agencies. Be knowledgeable of and practice proper Health and Safety procedures, valid First Aid CPR, recent WHMIS training.

Pay: From $19.64 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
