We are looking for an exceptional **Career Services Coordinator **to join our student success department.
**Duties**
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide job placement support, ensuring all goals for job placement and retention are met.
- Plan and coordinate cohort field trips to job sites, training centers, and local union shops.
- Track and record job retention through forms and documentation.
- Work closely with the VP of Student Success and the curriculum consultant to ensure the curriculum aligns with employer needs and to maintain strong employer relationships.
- Provide support during program activities, participating in alumni gatherings and other special events.
- Work in close coordination with the Case Manager, Training & Recruitment Manager, and meets graduate to employment rate, placement, and retention goals, as well as to ensure a seamless, positive experience for each participant.
- Work with the Career Services team to continually improve the program and participant outcomes.
- Review all Students/Graduates assigned through CRM and schedule phone calls, video conferences, or in-person consultations to make initial contact (regular updates required)
- Other responsibilities as required.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, social work, and/or business. A Master’s Degree is considered an asset.
- Five years of post-secondary experience. Preferably in Recruitment, selection and retention and/or Human Resources area.
- Has a strong understanding of apprenticeship programs and union requirements; holds connections with local unions and employers.
- Enjoys working in the community and meeting new people with diverse backgrounds.
- Maintains professional boundaries while treating individuals with respect and compassion.
- Remains calm under pressure.
- Extremely well-organized.
- Committed to empowering individuals to succeed.
- Communicates effectively with program participants, team members, partners, and employers.
- Comfortable with and has experience using databases, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong collaboration, and customer services skills.
