Purpose of the role
Under the supervision of the Director, Data and Analytics, the incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data visualization solutions within the organization. You will be responsible for creating reports, sophisticated dashboards, and transforming complex data into clear and impactful visualizations to facilitate strategic decision-making. By collaborating with various teams, the incumbent will contribute to enhancing the company's analytical culture by implementing high-performing and intuitive tools.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative and high-performing Power BI dashboards and reports that meet the strategic needs of business units.
- Transform complex datasets into intuitive and impactful visualizations that facilitate decision-making.
- Optimize data models and queries to ensure optimal performance of BI solutions.
- Implement advanced DAX calculations and custom measures to address specific analytical needs.
- Establish and maintain best practices in data visualization and BI user experience.
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure the efficient integration of data sources into the BI ecosystem.
- Train and support power users in creating and maintaining their own reports.
- Stay up to date with BI tool advancements and propose continuous improvements.
- Document deployed BI solutions and create user guides tailored to different user profiles.

**Profile**:

- Mastery of tools: You excel in using Power BI and its ecosystem (Desktop, Service, Report Builder, DataGateway).
- Strategic vision: You align BI solutions with business objectives to maximize their impact.
- Cross-team collaboration: You work closely with various teams to identify needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Clarity and pedagogy: You can simplify complex concepts and effectively train users.
- Attention to detail: Data accuracy and quality are at the heart of your priorities.
- Curiosity and continuous learning: You stay ahead of the latest trends in data visualization and business intelligence.

**Requirements**:

- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business Intelligence, Analytics, Statistics, Administration).
- Proficiency in at least one business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, BO).
- Knowledge of at least one programming language related to data extraction (preferably SQL).
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (The incumbent will be required to interact with partners outside of Quebec).
- Experience with DevOps and Microsoft 365 (an asset).
- Experience in the retail industry (an asset).
