Labourer - Shallow Utilities

We are currently seeking a full-time On-Site Shallow Utilities Labourer for our Fusion Underground division. Fusion Underground, Sarasota Homes and Sarasota Realty has been serving all of St. Albert’s real estate needs for over 25 years. Our construction division focuses on one-of-a-kind custom-builds and our realty branch on client-focused sales throughout the Edmonton area. We have over 30 dynamic people on our team, and we are excited to welcome another team member to the family.

**About the role - Key responsibilities**:
The position requires the ability to work within a team safely and efficiently to install shallow-utilities (power, gas and telecommunications) in new residential, industrial and commercial subdivisions around the Greater Edmonton area. Duties include:

- Install cable in trenches, setting telecom peds, install conduit, moving material to the worksite and ensuring all tools and other equipment are safely set up.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Operating hand tools and powered tools
- Possibly operate skid-steer and other motorized construction equipment on-site
- Clean up worksites from debris, hazardous or obsolete material.
- Perform physical duties while working safely at all times
- Obeying health and safety codes, as well as the company's principles.
- Learn to read and understand construction drawings for specific tasks given
- Must be able to effectively communicate and carry out tasks as provided, correctly and efficiently
- Complete time sheets, inspections and other paperwork as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors

**Qualifications you bring**:

- One or more years’ experience in utility installation highly valued.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle to get to various job sites each day.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

**Where you will be working/other important information**:

- This is full time, on-site/outdoor (10-12 hours/ 5-6 days a week) position.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
