About The Role
The Accounting Technician is responsible for supporting the finance-accounting team by carrying out a multitude of tasks relating to the complete accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, data entry, performing various reconciliations and producing various reports.

What You'll Do Here
- Bank reconciliations and revaluations, verify and investigate outstanding/unreconciled items;
- Preparation of month end journal entries;
- Process the monthly reconciliation, GL codification and reporting relating to Credit Cards spending;
- Preparation of Canadian sales taxes reports for filing;
- Account payable - process invoices/credit notes and ensure appropriate transfer to Project Accounting when applies;
- Assist controller with month end procedures;
- Provide support to the Controller with month-end procedures as needed;
- Carries out appropriate self-development efforts.

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Post-secondary studies in Accounting or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good knowledge of the accounting cycle
- Detail oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables.
- Team player and collaborator
- Effective written and verbal communication;
- Oriented towards continuous improvement;
- Able to think critically and make decisions with mínimal supervision
- Bilingualism (English and French, both written and spoken)
- Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains is an asset
- Hybrid role
