This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Why is this role important?
The Product Owner maximizes generated value by focusing on road-map responsibilities and the delivery of product features. In developing a product feature or feature set for CBC/Radio-Canada, you ensure that it meets expectations — that it is best-in-class for external users and internal administrators from a function, reliability and security perspective. You work within an agile team. You may also act as an integrator, focused on growing market share through engagement, retention or revenue-related product activities. You collaborate with other product teams and product managers to help achieve your objectives.
The Product Owner, Audience Data, must organize backlogs related to CBC/Radio-Canada’s audience data platforms (DMP, CDP, CRM). You act as a key interface between the Radio-Canada product teams and CBC’s ADaPT team. Reporting to the Director, Data and Analytics, you are responsible for coordinating the execution of work with architects, developers and designers; the Quality Engineering, Data Operations and Marketing departments; platform vendors; and User Marketing team members.
Here’s why we should work together:
Our digital teams’ values - collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement - embody who we are as a peoplefocused, digital-forward employer. We follow lean startup principles and use an Agile approach. Our dedicated people managers work closely with every individual to ensure we are leveraging their strengths, championing their ideas and supporting their pursuit of new skills and their desired career progression.
Here at CBC/Radio-Canada’s Digital Media, we want you to be happy and feel good at work. It is essential that work be a safe space where our employees are able to share their authentic selves with one another and to push each other to challenge conventions.

- A creative and dynamic work environment, where your ideas and contributions can be heard, valued and respected.
- A supportive management team committed to upholding the highest standards of diversity and inclusivity.
- An environment which favours experimentation and an iterative approach in order to achieve the highest form of technical innovation.
How you will make an impact:
- Act as a key interface between the Radio-Canada product teams and CBC’s ADaPT team.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of new data platforms with the respective suppliers, internal teams and stakeholders.
- Lead the creation of user stories and tasks in general for the team’s backlogs.
- Continuously manage/groom such backlogs with the team’s assistance.
- Prioritize work based on department goals and commitments to stakeholders with the support of the Product Manager, ADaPT.
