**Role**: The Product Owner reports to the Director, Core Insurance Solutions and works closely with 14 team members from developers, data scientists, business analysts and QA specialists. The incumbent will be responsible for defining roadmaps and help the director in the strategy of the design product as well as analytics.

Equisoft / Design is a powerful OIPA configuration and release management tool built for cost-effective implementations. Our tool helps carriers to accelerate product development, speed-to-market, reduce configuration errors, improves quality through debugging and functional testing capabilities. Our release management capabilities provide insurance companies with a platform for managing the release process, including version control, testing and deployment.

**Your Day with Equisoft**:

- Work closely with product management, technical & functional architects, business analysts, and product experts to align business strategies with technology solutions
- Work on the development of an analytics product that would utilize the latest technologies and integrate them with the insurance industry
- Work with customers/clients to understand requirements, communicate product roadmaps, and manage scope
- Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
- Reconcile various customers/clients demands to make one single product
- Research and analyze the market, user personas, and roadmap for the product
- Work with new or existing presentation to create visually appealing, persuasive, effective presentations
- Assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate them into a viable design
- Gather input from various stakeholders and translate into business requirements and/or user stories
- Act as owner of the development of detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements documentation
- Act as the Product champion from a functional perspective by mastering the product & business capabilities
- Lead sprint pre-planning sessions with the Development Technical Lead and Product Manager to define next sprint priorities and scope
- Lead the planning sessions and POC initiatives, product stand-up phase
- Create the needed Jira stories for the sprint and partner with the Technical Architect and Delivery Lead to confirm logical task breakdown and other details

**Requirements**:
**Technical**
- Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering or information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience
- 7-10 years of experience in IT with 5 years in experience in a Product Owner role
- Experience with IDE (Integrated development environments) (like VSCode, IntelliJ, etc.) and Git
- Experience working with a B2B and/or configurable software product
- Experience working in Integrated Development Environments as a developer or UI specialist
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of French (spoken and written) (asset)
