Hamilton, Canada Classic 8 Cleaning & Maintenance Ltd. Full time

Classic 8 Cleaning & Maintenance works closely with our Property Management clients to provide a full range of building maintenance services.

**This is NOT a live in position**. The Building Superintendent will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the general maintenance of the condominium corporation.

This position is a very visible position, and the incumbent must maintain high standards of appearance, courtesy, and job performance.

The Superintendent reports to the Condominium Property Manager and works under direct supervision of the Operations Manager.

Weekend on call.

Location: Grimsby

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that a high level of service is provided to owners and tenants; promptly responding to maintenance requests and issues
- Ensure properties are maintained on a day-to-day basis in accordance with company standards
- Ensure building systems are functioning properly and regular maintenance scheduled are adhered to
- Responsible for the operations of the buildings and general maintenance
- Minor repairs around building are completed
- Pro-actively inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment at the property to determine if repairs or preventative maintenance is required
- Other duties may be assigned within the scope of the job, as requested by management

**Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Ability to complete basic repairs and maintenance such as, but not limited to, carpentry and painting
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, drywall, carpentry, landscaping
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and teamwork
- Ability to safely use and maintain tools of the job
- Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems
- Knowledge of generators systems
- Basic computer skills
- Communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Problem Solving skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Shows Initiative and demonstrates sense of ownership

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- HAMILTON, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Superintendent: 5 years (required)
