We are seeking a **Procurement Coordinator** to join our team and serve as the vital link between our design team and fabrication vendors. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and thrives on problem-solving. You will help bring design concepts to life by ensuring that all custom elements—from millwork to metalwork—are feasible, sourced, and delivered on time and to spec.

Astro Design is a creative and fast-paced design/build/interiors firm specializing in custom, high-quality spaces. Our projects include bespoke millwork, detailed metal and glass features, and other specialty finishes tailored to each client’s vision. We’re a collaborative team of designers, project managers, and skilled tradespeople who value precision, creativity, and relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Procurement & Order Management**:

- Place orders for custom items such as millwork, counters, glass, metal, and specialty finishes.
- Request and review quotes, ensuring alignment with design intent and budget.
- Maintain accurate order logs and documentation.
- Place orders for all service related issues

**Vendor Coordination & Relationship Building**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of trusted fabricators and suppliers.
- Communicate design intent clearly and confirm technical requirements and capabilities with vendors.
- Monitor and follow up on order statuses, lead times, and delivery dates.

**Design Feasibility Support**
- Collaborate closely with the design team to evaluate the feasibility of custom features.
- Offer material, fabrication, and construction recommendations during design development.
- Identify and help resolve potential production or installation issues early in the process.

**Logistics & Project Support**
- Track shipments and coordinate delivery schedules in alignment with project timelines.
- Address and resolve delays or issues with orders in a timely, solution-oriented manner.
- Attend internal project meetings and provide status updates on custom items.

**Position Requirements**:

- **2+ years of experience in procurement**, fabrication coordination, or a similar role within design, construction, or millwork environments
- Strong understanding of custom materials and fabrication processes (e.g., woodworking, metalworking, glass, solid surfaces)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both internal and vendor coordination
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Proficient in project management tools and basic Excel/Google Sheets
- Proficient in AutoCAD
