Proven leader in corporate legal services needed

Lead the team of professionals who deliver all corporate legal services to FCC, including in the areas of financial transactions and security (core business/lending support), key business agreement negotiation and procurement/contract review, litigation management and employment law.

You’ll provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure efficiency and continual improvement of these services and consistency in legal risk management.

**What you’ll do**:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the delivery of core legal services
- Act as a key stakeholder in corporate initiatives with significant legal implications
- Develop and maintain key strategic relationships, including with internal senior leaders and external counsel and counterparts at Canadian Crown corporations
- Lead the Corporate Legal Services team and implement processes and best practices that align with FCC strategic goals and risk tolerances
- Assist the Vice-President, Corporate Secretary in the fulfillment and continuous improvement of the provision of legal services

- Relationship-builder comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and across disciplines

**What you’ll need**:

- A bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and at least seven years of experience in a corporate legal function and/or private practice
