Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position is responsible for answering or responding to all inbound calls from customers and dispatching drivers to ensure all deliveries are made in a quick and efficient manner. In addition, the Dispatcher coordinates and maintains the dock area and maintenance of all vehicles.

**HOURS: 9:00AM - 5:30PM Monday - Friday, Saturday work availability as well**

**Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Responsible for correspondence with customers and dispatch drivers.
- Communicates with drivers on day-to-day assignments.
- Reconciles all cash and driver invoices.
- Builds base routes for drivers.
- Maintains handheld invoicing system.
- Coordinates the dock area involving the loading of trucks, shipping, and receiving.
- Evaluates the availability of trucks for ice delivery as well as for repairs and maintenance.
- Reviews driver logs and vehicle inspection reports and monitors adherence and compliance based on metric reporting.
- Supports DOT compliance and other safety initiatives.
- Receives merchandiser repair calls and dispatches service technicians.

- 1 to 2 years’ experience working in a distribution environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and ability to shift focus to meet client needs.
- Must be comfortable working with hand held units.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays.
