Safety Administrator

**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for providing administration and safety support to the Safety Team and our operational divisions. The Safety Administrator will focus on claims management support, information tracking, employee orientations and assisting with inspections and audits as required. Opportunities to expand the role may include further growth in the field of safety.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in managing Workers Compensation claims and incident tracking
- Plan and conduct new employee safety orientations and arranging additional training as necessary
- Prepare safety materials, documentation and data as needed for daily operations
- Administration of the health and safety manual, policies, and procedures
- Maintain statistics and records to measure OHS performance
- Manage data entry and maintenance of Safety documentation in Oracle and ISNetworld
- Work closely with and support administratively the Health and Safety Coordinators
- Identify and implement opportunities for health and safety improvement
- Assist with creating annual health and safety objectives and actions plans
- Additional duties as assigned
**Technical Requirements**
- Previous Administration and/or Safety experience considered an asset
**Business Requirements**
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with safety team
- A detail-oriented focus with strong analytical expertise
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
**Cultural Requirements**
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills coupled with proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Effective communication with all levels of management
