Overview of the Role
As an Account Manager at AT Trans, you will be a key driver of client success, managing and growing a portfolio of accounts across industries such as manufacturing, dairy, agriculture, and retail. This hybrid role, based in Mississauga, combines office-based collaboration (3-4 days per week) with remote flexibility and occasional client visits. You will leverage your proven book of records—a track record of client relationships, sales achievements, or freight volume—to secure new business, strengthen existing accounts, and deliver customized logistics solutions. This position is ideal for a relationship-focused professional with logistics expertise, a hunter’s mentality, and a passion for exceeding client expectations.Key Responsibilities
- Client Portfolio Management: Build and manage a robust book of business by nurturing existing client relationships and securing new accounts through your established network.
- Leverage Book of Records: Utilize your proven track record of client relationships, sales success, or freight volume to drive consistent revenue growth and expand AT Trans’s client base.
- Business Development: Identify and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach (e.g., B2B cold calling, networking) and tailored freight solutions (FTL, LTL, cross-border, white glove).
- Client Engagement: Understand client needs, address challenges, and propose strategic, cost-effective logistics solutions to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive pricing with clients and carriers, ensuring profitability while maintaining service quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Transportation Managers and Logistics Coordinators to ensure seamless execution of client shipments, from planning to delivery.
- Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by expanding account freight volume and securing long-term contracts.
- Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends (e.g., freight rates, capacity) and leverage insights to position AT Trans as a trusted partner.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a results-oriented Account Manager with a proven book of records in logistics or transportation, demonstrated through established client relationships, consistent sales achievements, or significant freight volume. You are a proactive relationship builder, skilled at negotiation, and thrive in a competitive, fast-paced environment.Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in account management, sales, or business development within transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage. Asset-based brokerage experience is a strong asset.
- Book of Records: A demonstrated track record of success, evidenced by:

- Established client relationships driving consistent freight volume or revenue growth.
- Proven sales achievements (e.g., meeting/exceeding quotas, securing high-value contracts).
- A portable book of business or freight accounts that can be leveraged to grow AT Trans’s portfolio.

Pay: $61,035.19-$102,189.49 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L5S 1B1
