**Role Purpose**:
Responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Maintain HVAC system.
- Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability.
- Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
- Answer security/alarm calls as needed.
**Required Education and Experience**:

- 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred

**Additional details**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience of manufacturing and industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices and methods.
- Industrial Millwright ticket 433A and/or Millwright 310A license with extensive electrical experience and/or Industrial Electrician 442A with strong mechanical
- Advanced working knowledge of: electrical PLC programming, motor controls, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, conveyors, welding and fabricating, building and modifying equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and manuals for equipment.
- Working knowledge of local and Canadian electrical codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and execute effective solutions
- Ability to work in a production environment
- Past experience in a food manufacturing facility is a definite asset
- Good command of the English language required.
- Ability to operate all MHE’s (Order picker, Reach and Walkie).
