Purpose:
The Sales Coordinator with the Delta Regina will work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement the marketing plan and activities for the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs. The Sales Coordinator will also be responsible for supporting the sales team with the booking and management of smaller group hotel blocks to maximize revenue; and working collaboratively to support the sales office to achieve budget. Additional responsibilities for this role included fielding incoming phone calls, maintaining office and client files, creating gift certificates, creating Purchase Orders, timely generation of appropriate reports and other duties as required**.**

Qualifications:

- Previous Marketing experience in a similar hotel environment
- Previous Sales experience in a similar hotel environment
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure at all times
- Knowledge of computer design/graphic software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher Photography, video and video editing experience an asset
- Strong Familiarity with various social media and web platforms including managing business pages is required
- Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets
- Produce monthly reports as required
- Must possess exceptional customer-focused skills
- Must be able to build and maintain credibility and relationships with customers (internal and external)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability in time management and handle multiple priorities; must be able to plan and execute effectively and efficiently and meet deadlines in a demanding environment
- Active team player and self-starter
- Must have a focus on detail and driving topline results
- Possess a strong sense of urgency, pro-activeness and a high drive for results
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong knowledge of web-based software usage, navigation and CMS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Self-motivated, high initiative, self-starter, reliable and strives to continually over achieve goals and targets
- Sets a positive example and fulfills responsibilities with the highest integrity, ethics and professionalism
- Relevant degree, in marketing, business development
