Job Title: Developmental Support worker/CYW
Location Scarborough
**Job Type**: Part Time
Working Days: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
Pay rate: $25/hr
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the child in learning how to manage their feelings, talk with others, and solve problems.
- Building a nice relationship with the child, their family, and the care team.
- Being prepared to handle tough situations and helping the child calm down when needed (crisis intervention).
- Taking steps to prevent tough situations from happening (crisis prevention).
- Taking part in meetings, training, and things that are important for the child's care.
- Writing down how the child is doing, what they're doing, and anything important to remember.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or degree Developmental Support Worker or Child & Youth Worker
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with children and youth in a residential or community setting
- Valid CPR certification and reliable mode of transportation
- Immunization record
- Vulnerable Sector Check Valid
**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only
Licence/Certification:
- DSW/CYW (preferred)
- Vulnerable Sector Check/Police Check (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Scarborough, ON (required)
Work Location: In person
