Ink Technician Specialist

We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 16 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.
We are currently looking for a full-time **Ink Technician Specialist **reporting to the Western Canada Sales Manager Graphic Systems Group.
**Your Challenge**:
Under the supervision of the Western Canada Sales Manager Graphic Systems Group, the duties and responsibilities of the Ink Technician Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mixing all special colors for all Western Canadian Spicers locations when required;
- Operating the Vancouver location GFI ink dispensing unit for all required customer orders;
- Completion of all Draw Downs and special matches through customers request;
- Ensuring that Draw Downs and special matches are transitioned to all other operating branches;
- Responsible for all manual mixes required throughout Western Canada including cans and kits;
- Managing all Huber inventory as it exists today in Vancouver Location;
- Supporting customers with technical assistance/support in the Vancouver and surrounding areas;
- Supporting customers throughout Western Canada with technical assistance/support when required;
- Supporting all branches in Western Canada with ongoing training and technical support;
- Occasionally working with Account Managers to support technical issues;
- Overseeing all technical aspects of Huber inks throughout Western Canada including our mixing facilities;
- Liaising with technical personnel at Huber to support our mutual business throughout Western Canada;
- Monitor and ensure all levels of our manufacturing consumables for all pantone or internal mixes in Edmonton, Vancouver and Winnipeg are met with cost control and quality control;
- Monitor and report monthly on all aged inventory within Edmonton as it relates to the GFI unit;
- On occasion travel to all geographical areas in Western Canada for training purposes;
- Supporting and developing training initiatives working with (WCSM);
- Continually learning about new products within our portfolio;
- Warehousing duties as required; and
- Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Requirements**
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field;
- Minimum 1 -3 years’ experience;
- Industry knowledge and understanding of paper manufacturing, paper distribution, graphic products, printing processes, sign and display or industrial supplies and packaging;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong organization and time-management skills;
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable;
- Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently;
- Self-directed and self-motivated; and
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
**Working Conditions**
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
- Ability to work in a busy, open area office; and
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and periodic flexible shift changes (i.e. vacation coverage, etc.).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
