For 80+ years, Kawartha Dairy has been proud to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that founded it in 1937. Although the company has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in the lakeside community of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded, near Peterborough, an hour north of the GTA.

Today Kawartha Dairy operates 10 retail stores and services a wide range of customers, from grocery stores to foodservice establishments and of course, ice cream parlours. The company also provides custom production services to other food companies, using Kawartha’s expertise in the business to produce ice cream and other specialty dairy items to the exact specifications of these firms.

As a part of our strong Kawartha Dairy Retail team, you are the passionate face of the company providing customer obsessed service; personally, connecting with every customer. A large portion of the shift will be to scoop ice cream, make milkshakes and assist our customers with their purchases.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Greet customers, serve ice cream, make milkshakes and assist our customers with their purchases
- Provide information to customers
- This is a dynamic role that requires multi-tasking with the ability to work independently
- Keeping shelves stocked and replenish supplies as needed
- Handle cash-making change
- Receive and process payments by cash, credit card or automatic debit
- Conduct sales transactions through internet-based electronic commerce
- Maintaining a superbly clean atmosphere of the store
- Physical aspects of the role include standing/walking and bending at the waist
- In some instances, you will need to be able to lift and/or move objects weighing at least 11.3 kg (25 lbs)
- Repetitive tasks, specifically in the wrists; prolonged use throughout shift
- Bending, stooping and standing for the duration of the shift
- **Position is Part Time year-round with the potential for full time hours during our peak summer season.**:

- **Must be able to work flexible shifts of days, afternoon and evening hours throughout the fall and winter months.**

**What you Need to Get the Job Done**:

- Strong organizational skills
- Mature and reliable with strong communication skills and work ethic
- Flexible; crew members must be available to work a variety of shifts on days, evening, weekends and statutory holidays. For this position we are looking for someone able to commit daytime and some night hours during our fall and winter season.
- This is a dynamic role that requires multi-tasking with the ability to work independently
- Have reliable transportation
