Ice Control Truck Operator

Seeking an **experienced, mature, reliable, & detail-oriented** individual to join our **Winter Maintenance Team**. This position will require the use of **SINGLE-AXLE DUMP TRUCKS WITH ATTACHED ICE CONTROL PRODUCT SPREADERS** to assist with the treatment of Ice by spreading Ice Control Product at properties in Orillia & surrounding areas. Shifts are primarily _**EARLY MORNING START TIMES**_. **YOU MUST ANSWER THE PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.**

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Perform routine Circle Checks and top up Fluids and/or Fuel as necessary;
- Follow a pre-determined Route and treat Commercial Properties with Ice Control Products;
- Hand Treat Sidewalks/Walkways by manually-spreading Ice Melt Product as required;
- Accurately complete Route Log Sheets/Electronic Logs;
- Communicate with fellow Crew Members and Office Dispatch via Two-Way Radio's to ensure expedient and efficient Service to all properties;
- Ability to commit to working the duration of the Winter Maintenance Season as required, (up to and including April 30, 2025);
- Physically-fit and capable of working outdoors in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time (although Trucks are Climate-Controlled);
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating equipment;
- Ability to work a variety of Shifts including days, evening, overnight, weekends, & holidays, including extended hours;
- Valid Ontario Class D (or Class A) Driver's Licence with a minimum of (3) Years experience operating Heavy-Class Trucks (CVOR or Letter of Experience required);
- Conviction-Free Driver's Abstract (no major fines and/or convictions within the last (3) years);
- 2 Pieces of Valid, Government-issued Photo Identification, in additional to a Valid Ontario Social Insurance Number;
- Legally-entitled to work for payment in the Province of Ontario;
- Other duties as assigned by Management

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
