Merlin Plastics Group is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Audit Workers and Quality Control Inspectors. We're committed to providing environmental services for the packaging industry in an economically efficient, environmentally sound, and socially responsible fashion.
Position: Audit Worker / Quality Control
Employment Type: Full-time/Permanent
Shift: Morning, Mid Shift
Location: 351 Gifford St, New Westminster, BC
Overview:
In this dual role, you'll be responsible for sorting materials and products according to type, color, and composition, while also ensuring stringent quality control measures are met. You'll play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to environmental sustainability through accurate sorting and inspection processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Punctually report for scheduled shifts, demonstrating reliability and dependability.
- Thoroughly inspect materials and products, sorting them according to type, size, and colouring.
- Categorize items into different commodities to streamline recycling processes.
- Place sorted materials into designated bins and accurately weigh them on a scale.
- Record audit findings meticulously on audit forms, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure products meet our high standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the conveyor and surrounding sorting line to uphold safety and efficiency.
- Capture videos or photos as required for documentation and quality assurance purposes.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to management.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Previous experience in a plant or production environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability with a positive work attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to make decisions and solve problems independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
