**Overview**

This position is essential for maintaining a safe work environment, promoting safety awareness, and implementing effective safety programs. The Safety Officer will work closely with management and employees to identify potential hazards, conduct safety audits, and ensure adherence to safety regulations, often while working alongside the team on site.

**Duties**
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards.
- Review and Develop new Safe Work Procedures with workers.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to workplace safety.
- Assist the team with general laboring, manual tasks, and basic carpentry as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying potential risks.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to participate in physical laboring and carpentry tasks.

- Day shift

- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 80 per week
