Tim Hortons Research & Development Department_

We are seeking a **Beverage Analyst** to join our R&D team at Tim Hortons. In this role, you will support the development, testing, and implementation of new and existing **beverage products**—flavored and functional syrup solutions that enhance our beverages and culinary offerings.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, or a related field (e.g., Biotechnology, Biochemistry)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry
- Experience with syrup formulation, ingredient interactions, and flavor systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the innovation process, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and sensory analysis
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Passion for beverage trends, flavor innovation, and ingredient technologies
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Business-minded with the ability to balance innovation with operational feasibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis focused on beverage syrup trends, flavor profiles, and functional ingredient innovations
- Define and support project scopes for new simple syrup formulations and custom flavor solutions
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify, evaluate, and recommend raw materials and ingredients for syrup development
- Work closely with cross-functional teams—including Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Supply Chain—to bring syrup products from concept to launch
- Lead or support all stages of syrup product development: bench-top formulation, sensory testing, ingredient sourcing, analytical testing, and documentation
- Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, lab records, reports, and presentations
- Present product concepts and findings to internal teams and external partners
- Write and maintain SOPs for in-house plant trials and initial syrup production runs
- Participate in plant trials and ensure successful scale-up and commercialization of new syrup formulations
- Occasional travel (approximately 10%) to corporate offices, suppliers, and manufacturing sites
