**Job Overview**
King Asphalt Maintenance is looking to hire hardworking and experienced Concrete Former/Finisher to join our team.

**PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE.**

We do smaller sized concrete projects such as: walkways, patios, porches, steps, driveway borders and curbs, retaining walls, interlock stones, etc.

Related experience in asphalt paving, materials, equipment, and processes is not required but an asset.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Leveling, smoothing, and shaping freshly poured concrete using tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
- Checking concrete forms (molds).
- Setting and aligning the forms.
- Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using specialist equipment.
- Monitoring the effects of weather on concrete.
- Facilitating concrete pouring.

**Other Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment around the worksite.
- assist in other general labourer duties associated with all aspects of asphalt paving and maintenance.
- Ensure worksite safety by following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in the asphalt/paving industry.
- Engage in physical labor including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Valid G-Licence required.
- Must be able to commute to and from shop/jobsites.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.

We offer competitive pay and opportunities for growth within our company. Wages are based on experience and knowledge in the field.

Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
