**Kitchen Specialist**

Reporting to the Kitchen Department Manager, assisting with cooking. Approach and serve customers in a warm welcoming manner. Work with others in a fast paced, family-type atmosphere to provide professional, inviting service to customers. Accurately package, label and merchandise kitchen products.
- Provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service
- Help with the prepping, cooking and merchandising of all products in department
- Assist customers with questions about hot foods
- Follow recipes exactly
- Check for quality and accuracy on all incoming products.
- Help uphold standards for cleanliness and procedures for proper sanitation for all areas of the department including back room and coolers
- Ensure a positive, friendly and supportive work environment
- Receive and verify that orders are accurate in quantity and quality
- Create product displays, rotate product displays and maintain product displays
- Help other departments with product displays when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of all shelf levels and back room storage
- Flexible availability from 6 am - 6 pm
- Attend huddles
- Follow and ensure government regulations are adhered to, for e.g. Dine Safe.
- Enforce and obey company policies and procedures
- Other assigned duties as they may arise
- **Qualifications**_
- Experience in a kitchen is a PLUS
- Computer skills and Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Office is an asset
- A high level of personal initiative, self motivation
- Excellent people, communication, and organization skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with the team
- Creativity is a must
