**Accounting Clerk**

McManes Automotive is excited to share that due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a well-rounded accounting clerk to join the Controller at the South Trail Kia Dealership. This individual will have experience in a dealership accounting department and specifically in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and processing New and/or Used vehicle deals.

**_in all three positions_**

**Deal Clerk Duties**
- Process all New and Used vehicle sales
- Process all dealer trade and wholesale sales
- Process and reconcile commissions
- Account for funds that have been received from financial institutions
- Process all cheque requisitions relating to deals
- Review inventory schedules to ensure that internal RO and vendor invoices have been posted correctly
- Review and reconcile deal schedules
- Process floor plan payments and chattels

**A/P Job Duties**
- Collaborate with the Controller to maintain general A/P performance levels.
- Post payable invoices daily
- Reconcile payables to AP schedule and customer statement
- Prepare and fill out payments to third parties, whether by cash, check, credit, and other forms of payment
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners
- Investigate payment problems while following corporate A/P policies and procedures.
- Liaise with internal and external clients
- Maintain sublet accounting schedule
- Ensure integrity of data input
- Ensure accuracy of billings to affiliated companies

**A/R Job Duties**
- Initiate credit and reference checks with credit instructions when necessary
- Prepare and post daily deposits, EFT payments
- Update the ledger of customer accounts
- File documents regarding customer financing/credit
- Reconcile statement and collect accounts, at the request of his/her supervisor
- Jointly with his/her supervisor, identify and suggest appropriate action to deal with past due accounts and difficult cases
- Prepare monthly statements of accounts receivable
- Takes telephone calls regarding accounts receivable and follows up on requests
- Update customer account information
- Enter relevant data into the computer system, as instructed by his/her supervisor

**General Accounting Duties**
- Journal entries - DR & CR knowledge an asset
- Keep track of data in excel spreadsheets for management review
- Perform month end procedures
- Assist in preparing fiscal year-end working papers for auditors
- Daily reconciliation of accounting schedules
- Process daily on demand checks
- General office administrative duties
- Perform payroll and HR duties as required

**Job Qualifications/Requirements**:

- 2 or more years of previous Automotive accounting office experience required.
- Strong Communications, customer service, and organizational skills
- High level of accuracy and analytical ability
