The General Labourer and Skilled Labourer will be carrying out the day-to-day functions on the job. This will include unloading materials, breaking down crates and pallets, installing the siding/cladding system, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. All other duties will be assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Strong independent labour and ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a general fast-paced environment
- Effective Communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work with power tools (saws, drills, compact screw guns, etc.)
**Requirements**:
- Must have experience in the construction industry. History of working with AVB preferred.
- Must speak English fluently.
- Must be able to work longer hours when required for the job.
- Must have working at heights, WHMIS, Mobile Elevated Working Platform (boom lift), 4 Steps Worker Safety Awareness, and Violence in the Workplace certification.
- Must have reliable transportation means to get to the project site, bus terminal, or carpool location on-time.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
