So, if you are ready to make a career move, and you want to make a difference in our ability to serve our clients, you may become our next GENERAL LABOURER **A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE GENERAL LABOURER** You are in good physical condition and provide construction work and support to ensure timely project completion. You follow good work practices and procedures and set a good example for new crew members and co-workers. Not only that, but you operate a variety of equipment and instruments, including hand and power tools of all types; clean and prepare sites; clean up rubble and debris; remove mould, asbestos lead and other hazardous materials. **Responsibilities**: - Lead by example and follow all health and safety policies and procedures. - Strive to continually improve through specific development plans. - Accept direction from the Lead Hand, Lead Water Technician and/or Lead Carpenter and more experienced co-workers. - Participate in good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace and to minimize cross contamination. - Learn and practice correct procedures, especially when environmental work is required. - Adhere to company policy regarding acceptable standards to follow at a customer site, i.e. smoking policy etc. - Display good manners and attitude toward the property owner, occupants of the property, co-workers and subcontractors. - Willing and able to be on-call 24/7 for after hour's emergency work. - Direct customer questions or concerns to the most senior company person on the job site. - Look out for and assists co-workers. **Qualifications**: - Previous construction or cleaning work preferred. - Experience with hand tools & power tools preferred. - High School graduate or equivalent. **ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?** - In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, First Onsite Restoration will provide accommodations throughout the recruitment and selection process to applicants with disabilities.
