Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is currently looking for a Marine Systems Technician to join their Grimsby team.

Our Marine Systems Technicians are responsible for the preparation, assembly, and programming of new marine-based fire systems (detection and suppression).

**Responsibilities**
- Install, maintain and modify fixed fire protection systems ensuring compliance to codes and standards, in accordance with our customer’s needs (CO2, Novec, FM200, Water Mist, Wet and Dry Chemical)
- Train clients on operation of life safety systems
- Perform upgrades, repairs, additions of improvement to systems as required
- Maintain knowledge of codes and standards
- Maintain equipment in accordance with Transport Canada guidelines and ISO procedures
- Responsible to keep inventory organized and notify of stock order requirements
- Develop and maintain high caliber relationships with clients, to ensure their full satisfaction in doing business with our company
- Be available for emergency after hours service; perform emergency work while ensuring that there are mínimal call backs

**Qualifications**
- Previous Marine Industry experience considered an asset
- Minimum high school diploma
- Diploma or Degree in Fire Protection would be an asset
- Previous experience working with Fire Suppression systems
- Marine/Offshore experience an asset, working on board ships and off shore
- Certification and Strong knowledge of NFPA10 & TDG standards
- Valid drivers license with clean abstract and willing to travel.

**Salary**: From $41,000.00 per year
