We work with some of the coolest businesses and organizations in Northern Ontario and we are looking for a bookkeeper to join our close-knit team. The pay range for this role will ultimately depend on your experience.

**About the Role**

As a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper with Compass CPA, you will have the opportunity to receive exposure to a variety of interesting client-service work in a positive and supportive environment. You will work closely with the engagement partner, clients, and team members in all facets of the recordkeeping segment of the work we do.

**What Your Day to Day Will Look Like**
- You will prepare and maintain financial records for clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Common software we regularly use includes QBO, Xero, Dext, and Hubdoc.
- You will reconcile accounts and prepare reports for clients.
- You will maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payables for clients.
- From time to time, you may process payroll for clients through third party providers such as Wagepoint and Payworks.
- You will prepare government filings such as HST for clients.
- You may have other duties and projects as required.

**What You Need to Succeed**
- Certificate or diploma in business or accounting is considered an asset.
- An interest in working with private businesses and their owners.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Experience working with the software we commonly use is considered an asset.
- Software certification considered an asset.

**Our Recruitment Process**

Pay: $40,000.00-$52,000.00 per year

Additional pay:
