Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Trouw Nutrition in St Marys, ON is seeking a dynamic and organized coordinator with digitally savvy marketing skills to support and execute on key initiatives and campaigns. You will support our sales team to manage Key Account administrative responsibilities and align with our marketing agencies to manage our social media platforms to engage existing customers and attract new ones. With scrupulous attention to detail, you will be a key administrative support on our teams.
Lifetime, Wholesome Blend and Nutri Choice Pet Foods are our primary pet food brands in Trouw Nutrition Canada Inc. We market these brands in Canada, USA and in other selected markets.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide support to the sales team for administrative tasks, portal management and updates.
- Recommend strategies and tactics to get the word out about our brands and drive consumers to the shelf.
- Establish end to end integrated marketing campaigns driving key business objectives and work with various teams to execute.
- Identify and engage in local marketing activities / trade show events that drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with sales team in communicating marketing campaigns and collecting and sharing feedback.
- Understand and evaluating market landscape, competitor activities and category opportunities.
- Coordinate packaging re-design strategy with Sales and Marketing leadership teams.
- Responsible for tracking project management strategic initiatives, budget management, and competitive tracking and analysis.
- Plan and create content for all web pages, social media posts, including category and product pages, store news, blogs, expert advice columns, and about us
- Manage accounts program budgets and vendor relationships, along with coordinating marketing support tools to sales team / trade shows / accounts.
- Identify opportunities for local sponsorships, local PR, event participation and local influencer relationship building.
- Keep a pulse on local market and competitive trends to proactively identify marketing opportunities.
- Measure impact of marketing efforts.
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration - marketing or equivalent education level
- Graphic design and Social Media Management is an asset
- 3 + years of CPG experience
- 3 + years brand sales & marketing experience
- English spoken and written are mandatory, French language is an asset
**KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES**:
- Self-motivated, organized with attention to detail, resourceful, flexible and adaptable with strong project management skills are essential, excellent communication skills (consulting, writing, presentation), energetic, ability to take initiative, relationship builder.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Keen understanding of online brand recognition, branding strategies, with progressive experience securing new customers through social media engagement
- Working knowledge of CRM, Portals, Full Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver
- Strong understanding of an MS Environment, with intermediate Excel skills
- Familiarity with best practices of social scheduling including frequency, timing, etc. to encourage optimal engagement
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
