We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized support and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities could include:

- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of client care activities

**Skills**:

- Experience in dementia care, assisted living, or senior care is highly desirable
- Proficient in medication administration and following prescribed protocols
- Knowledge of home care practices and techniques
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide physical and emotional support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature

Qualifications:
Have one of the following qualifications (required):

- Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program
- RN/RPN Student who with a minimum successful completion of year one of the program
- Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife or Physician

Physical ability to meet the demands of the job (ex: ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach freely for extended periods, ability to lift 23 kg independently, ability to assist clients with standing, walking, sitting; able to reposition clients in bed)

Must have a positive attitude and be committed to fostering a healthy team environment

Able to prioritize client’s needs

Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR

Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check

Two Step TB Test (last 12 months)

Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (Additional language skills considered an asset)

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 40 per week
