Ottawa, Canada Destiny's Way Support Services Full time

The role of developmental serice worker offers 10-20 hours per week. The role of driver offers an addtional 10-20 hours per week, plus mileage compensation. **Total hours** **20-30+ hours per week.**

**Worker / Driver Responsibilities**:

- Provide safe, comfortable, reliable transportation to clients with intellectual challenges
- Must have own vehicle and Driver's License G class
- Supports each individual in a non-judgmental and collaborative fashion to expand upon their own experience of life without judgment.
- Provides professional, appropriate and emphatic regard for individuals’ relational strengths, helping to move into connection with others.
- Utilizes effective and respectful conflict resolution skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of residents.
- Provides support to program activities as requested.
- Promotion of life skills for clients
- Assessment of client's strengths and developmental needs
- Resolving conflict situations
- Liaising with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
- Light housekeeping activities and food preparation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (required)

**Experience**:

- developmental service work or equivalent: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License G with your own car (preferred)

Work Location: In person
