**Team Overview**:
Understand the importance of corporate communications as an integral component of business success and transformation. This Advisor, Corporate Communications role reports to the Manager, Employee Communications and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans, focusing on enhancing existing corporate programs and developing new initiatives with the Transformation portfolio.
**Discipline Summary**:
- Develops and coordinates lines of communication within the organization among employees around EDC’s strategic journey.
- Implements policies and programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of activities affecting employees.
- Coordinates the development of communications materials and multimedia packages by creative design and creative writing services to effectively represent the products, services, brands and/or the organization to customers and employees.
- Applies various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage a preference and response by the target audience.
**What you will be doing**:
Communications Planning and Support
- Advise and provide strategic support to EDC teams on communications issues and develop communication strategies related to key issues.
- Identify and develop appropriate communications strategies and vehicles to support corporate objectives and educate/inform employees.
- Act as community manager for MS Teams leaders and MS Teams employee channels
- Work with internal influencers to increase employee engagement and understanding of strategy and culture.
- Support engagement activities such as the employee conference, quarterly connects, leading live series, and other employee engagement activities.
- Follow internal analytical reporting on activities to better track results and propose solutions.
- Define client expectations/requirements and measurements (KPIs) for success.
- Partner with team leader and colleagues to ensure that objectives and strategies are met.
