**Employment Status**:Temporary - 1 year

**Step into the opportunity**:
As the **Communications Advisor**, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:

- Leading and managing high visibility outreach and liaison activities with important stakeholders.
- Managing public events, and acting as a liaison with partners, as well as supporting program related outreach activities.
- Developing, producing, and disseminating high-visibility corporate communications materials tailored to different audiences.
- Developing and implementing internal communications plan and activities.

**You have**:

- A University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, journalism, public relations, political science) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, including event organization and development of communication strategies.
- An in-depth understanding of internal communication strategy and public relations.
- An enhanced knowledge of IDRC, its activities, and the environment in which it operates.
