It is our goal to make visiting Bike and Brew the happiest part of our guests' day **JOB DESCRIPTION** Do you have a knack for making people smile and creating memorable experiences? You love working in a small team environment and are enthusiastic about coffee and Bicycles? Then Bike and Brew wants you, we are seeking a qualified and passionate barista to join the Bike and Brew team As a Barista you will provide the best experience possible for each of our guests, which means crafting quality beverages and building positive customer relationships. You will effectively complete opening/closing coffee bar duties and adhere to Food & Safety guidelines. Be proactive and contribute to the development and evolution of the café. **_General Responsibilities: _** - Greets customers, take orders, mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea's, etc... while considering customer specifications. - Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of Bike and Brew. "To deliver legendary customer service to all customers by building relationships." - Arrange coffee bar supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays. - Maintain coffee bar area in a neat and sanitary manner. - Cleans or sanitize coffee equipment, coffee bar and sitting areas, restrooms and take out garbage. - Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register and follows all cash-handling procedures as required. - Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. - Maintains regular and punctual attendance. - Be Generally Awesome **_Experience/Knowledge: _** - Barista experience, preferred. - High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Previous experience in a coffee shop, café environment (preferred). - Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers. - Detail-orientation in performing accurate transaction. - Self-motivated and multi-tasks with mínimal supervision. - Effective work methods and consistently meets commitments. - Effective communication skills-- clear, concise and positive. - Customer Service related work experience. **TO APPLY** Please send a cover letter, along with your resume **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Discounted or free food - Store discount Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay - Tips **Experience**: - Barista: 1 year (preferred) - Retail sales: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - ProServe (preferred)
