**Overview of the New Brunswick Refugee Clinic**

The primary service provided by the NBRC-CRNB is legal assistance to persons claiming refugee status before the Immigration and Refugee Board, including pre-refugee claim consultations, assistance in filing refugee claims, guidance throughout the entire refugee determination process, mock refugee hearings and representation at the hearing.

The NBRC-CRNB is a registered charity. Its services are available to persons in need who cannot afford a private lawyer.

**Position Overview**

Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the Administrative Coordinator of the New Brunswick Refugee Clinic is responsible for the daily management of client’s case files and the clinic’s administrative operations.

**Core Position Responsibilities**
- **Office management and administrative duties**:_
- Oversee and manage the reception desk; greet clients and visitors to the clinic and guide them accordingly.
- Maintain the NBRC’s physical office space, ensuring that the space is organized and adequately supplied.
- Maintain the NBRC’s digital and physical file management systems, including copying, scanning, and filing client documents.
- Maintain up-to-date client statistics and manage the NBRC’s waitlist system.
- Timely submission of expense forms and time sheets.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating events and meetings.
- Maintain an updated volunteer contact list and coordinate volunteers according the to the NBRC’s needs.
- Create and update web-based and electronic resources to promote the NBRC and its fundraising goal, including the development of a social media strategy.
- **Client assistance duties**:_
- Compile and organize documentation in support of client cases.
- Correspond with the client and government services regarding refugees and immigration processes and procedures.
- **Assist with fund raising activities from time to time**:_
- Develop processes, spreadsheets and checklists to support fundraising activities.

**Required skills & Qualifications**
- Experience working with culturally diverse clients, economically disadvantaged groups and/or persons at risk.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a high-volume caseload with competing demands.
- Strong attention to details.
- Cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with clients.
- Communication in a timely and responsive manner to different stakeholders.
- Stress management, high degree of adaptability and top cultural sensitivity.

La Clinique de réfugiés du Nouveau-Brunswick/New Brunswick Refugee Clinic (CRNB -NBRC) a pour mandat de fournir des services juridiques bilingues gratuits aux demandeurs d’asile et aux personnes qui présentent des demandes d’immigration pour considérations d’ordre humanitaire au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Le principal service offert par la CRNB-NBRC consiste à préparer les demandeurs d’asile et à les représenter devant la Commission de l’immigration et du statut de réfugié. Ce service comprend notamment les consultations préparatoires à la demande d’asile, l’aide pour le dépôt de la demande, l’accompagnement tout au long du processus de détermination du statut de réfugié, les séances simulées et la représentation durant les audiences des demandes d’asile.

D'autres services comprennent l'aide à la préparation des demandes d'immigration pour raisons humanitaires ou fondées sur le risque, ainsi que l'aide aux personnes détenues en vertu des lois et règlements sur l'immigration.

La CRNB-NBRC est un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré. Ses services sont accessibles aux personnes qui n'ont pas les moyens d’engager un avocat en pratique privée.
