Deer Creek is currently recruiting an Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. Located in Ajax, ON working under the direction of the Accounting Manager the person will be responsible for:

- Performing and maintaining Accounts Receivable functions including daily deposit reconciliation, preparing, reviewing, posting and reconciling journal entries
- Reviewing and entering events into POS software
- Preparing and issuing invoices for Events
- Maintaining and reconciling Accounts Receivables and Credit Books monthly
- Processing credit cards and payments of Events Invoices
- Collection and recovery of accounts receivables
- Responding and resolving questions or issues regarding Accounts Receivables
- Receiving vendor Invoices and coordinating with various department heads for invoice approvals
- Accurately reviewing, coding, classifying and processing vendor invoices in the accounting system (Jonas Software)
- Ensuring timely payment of all invoices in accordance with company policies with bi-weekly EFT payment runs and cheques as needed
- Reconciling credit card statements
- Reconciling all deposits and payments to the bank statement
- Managing onboarding of new clients and new vendors
- Responding and resolving questions or issues regarding invoice payments to vendors
- Recording Journal entries, preparing and managing balance sheet schedules and capital assets
- Some administrative duties as required
- Managing all 407 Transponders, License Plate renewals, and Vehicle Insurance
- Providing support and assistance with financial reporting, yearend working papers, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

- Post secondary degree or diploma in Accounting related field required
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle for bank deposits
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Knowledge of Golf and/or Events operations an asset
- Previous experience with Jonas Software and Tee-On Golf Systems Inc. an asset
