ROLE PROFILE:
Position: Executive Chef, Culinary, LTC
Reports to: Director, LTC Systems
Location: Hybrid (Remote/Ontario)
Scope: As a leading employer that operates residences and supports our mission “to help residents live fully, every day” we are now looking for an individual responsible for working directly with the Director of LTC Systems to collaborate on the Culinary direction for Long Term Care nationally and lay the foundation for sustainability within our culinary services

As an Executive Chef, Culinary, LTC your typical day will have an impact in the following ways:

- Collaborate with the team and Project Manager to create a detailed implementation plan on enhancing the dining experience at the care communities that includes current state assessment, future state, opportunities, roadmap, budget, use of partners / consultants
- Build and prioritize culinary programs and services that move the performance indicators against our three priority pillars of enhanced team member experience, operational excellence and model of care. Projects may include but not limited to
- plating and garnishing guidelines (all textures)
- always available menu - for all textures
- review of kitchen, cooking equipment of each site and provide insight into limitation to execute on the menu
- create food/beverage standards for S-Cafe/bistro
- elevate snack service
- 24/7 Food/snack guide
- finalize cooks training course
- food waste management project
- execution of chef choice
- Partner with the Director of LTC Systems on the implementation of MealSuite
- In collaboration with the Dir of LTC systems, create Culinary signature principles for all LTC communities
- Create a strong culture of culinary service for our residents, families and team members. Our role in shared services is to support the care communities to optimize results and standardize where possible to achieve desired outcomes.
- Create a strong change leadership capability within Sienna to foster and maintain change to optimize our resident and team experience
- Oversee the protection of Company assets, people, inventory and facilities, as well as the planning, evaluation and monitoring of culinary operations and financial areas within multiple communities

Education & Experience:

- Graduate of a Culinary or Food and Beverage Management Program with minimum of five years of experience in the Culinary industry
- Knowledge of food premise regulations
- Proven experience in large quantity commercial food prep, financial planning and food procurement
- Experience in coaching/mentoring culinary team members, frontline and management, and providing education to interdisciplinary teams
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
- Passion for working with Seniors and offering outstanding service
