Reporting to the Vice President, LTC Operations, the Project Manager will provide critical support to operational leadership and project leadership on key strategic initiatives. This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model, some travel within Ontario is to be expected.

Accountabilities:

- Work in partnership with home and regional leadership and Finance/HR/Quality teams to analyze performance of Long-Term Care homes, determine root causes for lower performance, and identify required strategies to drive improved results
- Collaborate with home leadership to monitor home level progress on improvement strategies and recovery actions against targeted goals/timelines and financial forecasts.
- Drive change management activities across business units (e.g. Operations, IT, HR, Finance) and collaborate with functional leads to help obtain the necessary resources to ensure projects progress and complete on time
- Provide project management leadership to key business initiatives geared at improving home specific operational results including decreasing dependency on agency staffing and increasing hours of care to improve quality and care experience for our residents
- Provide project management leadership on expanding and scaling hospital partnerships and higher complexity care delivery program including Transitional Care Units and Behavioural Support Units
- In partnership with Resident Care Performance team, provide input into the development of standardized reporting, dashboards and visualizations to drive business intelligence to measure success of projects
- Proactively identify project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies
- Support the evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives in a complex environment, ensuring coordination with business divisions and corporate functions
- Develop and maintain project plans and other project management tools to help track the progress of various workstreams for assigned projects
- Conduct external research and analysis to support strategic planning and decision making, opportunity assessments, financial models and other related business planning material
- Contribute to presentations for the Resident Care and Ontario LTC Leadership Teams and external audiences as required.
- Build and leverage cross-functional relationships with key leadership and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategies and support deliverables
- Travel to various home and office locations, as necessary to support project deliverables

What you bring to the role:

- Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or other related discipline required. Master’s in Business/Health Administration considered an asset.
- Progression towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- 5+ years’ experience in business/operational analysis, financial planning & analysis or management consulting. Experience in the healthcare sector considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze & leverage data to drive business recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Outstanding business presentation skills, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills including ability to influence at all levels with a results-oriented management style
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with thoroughness and attention to detail, and able to find creative solutions when issues arise, with limited resources
- High level of organizational agility, creative problem solving, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- LEAN/Six Sigma training or certification considered an asset
- Experience, training and/or certification in Change Management considered an asset
