Medical Office Assistant/unit Clerk Instructor

**We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk Instructor to join our team.**
**Job Summary**: As a MOA/Unit Clerk Instructor, you will teach students the necessary administrative, clerical, and medical office skills required to succeed in the healthcare industry. This role includes planning and delivering lectures, providing hands-on training, assessing student progress, and helping students develop the skills needed for professional success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- _**Instruction and Training**:_
- Develop and deliver lesson plans, lectures, and instructional materials on topics such as medical terminology, office management, patient scheduling, billing, coding, and electronic health records.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with current industry standards and best practices.
- _**Student Support and Assessment**:_
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and evaluate their performance through assignments, quizzes, exams, and practical assessments.
- Offer additional support to students who may need assistance with course material.
- Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- _**Administrative Duties**:_
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in the development of course materials, syllabi, and lesson plans.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- _**Professional Development**:_
- Stay current with advancements in medical office procedures, billing, coding, healthcare laws, and other related topics.
**Qualifications**:
- _**Education**:_
- A degree or diploma in Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- A teaching certification or experience in education is often preferred.
- _**Experience**:_
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment (e.g., as a medical office assistant, billing specialist, or administrator).
- Previous teaching or training experience is beneficial.
- _**Skills**:_
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical office procedures, insurance billing, and electronic health records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and relevant healthcare systems).
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
