Clearwater Seafoods' Information Systems & Services department requires an IT Security Analyst. The position is a Full-time position and is located in Bedford, N.S.
**Purpose of Position**
The IT Security Analyst's role is to ensure the security, stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, network services, endpoints, mobile devices and its related processes. This is achieved by implementing, monitoring, and developing security processes and procedures to protect wide area networks (WANs) across the organization which includes both office and manufacturing plant environments. In addition, the IT Security Analyst will install, configure, maintain, support, secure, optimise and manage all monitoring tools, software and connectivity such as servers, IOTs, firewalls, switches/routers, VPN, VoIP, data, and Wi-Fi (CISCO, HP and Dell).
This individual will also analyse and mitigate against hardware, network, processes and people risk in a timely and accurate fashion along with facilitating and providing end user awareness training where required.
**Major Responsibilities**:
Operational Management
- Actively participates in the daily coordination and remediation of all security incidents in the organization
- Oversees the monitoring, investigating, and reporting of security related events
- Creates updates and oversees execution of security assessments and analysis of systems on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Ensures successful compliance of CISv8, ISO27001, and PCI within the organization
- Responsible for monitoring and responding to alerts within the information technology infrastructure
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that end-users adhere to Information Technology policies, standards, and best practices
- Responsible for ensuring that all servers and other IT related equipment is hardened for compliance and/or industry standards
- Ensures that company meets all security standards for internal or external audits
- Ensures that all information technology/service diagrams are up to date and appropriately documented
- Oversees the administration, documenting, and monitoring inventory control for all network equipment
- Follows the Security Incident Management Response Policy in responding to security incidents
Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with executive management and IT team to assess near
- and long-term network security needs.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to security configuration related to network, hardware, software, and service records.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Assist the Incident Response Team in handling information security incidents
- Provides quick updates of security incidents to the IT Operations Manager
- Responsible for validating and maintaining incident response plan and processes to address potential threats
- Responsible for the compilation and analysis of security data for proper reporting and metrics
- Performs daily audits of firewall(s), log management, intrusion detection systems, and content filtering controls
- Ensures all levels of staff are provided with relevant trainings on security matters.

**Qualifications**:
Formal Education & Certification
- University degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
