The Market Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and the development, growth and profitability of key accounts and to develop and implement plans to grow Dawn’s business with the defined key accounts. This could include potential accounts, recently acquired accounts or existing accounts. This position will also work closely with different departments to set priorities and to formulate the best overall approach for Dawn to sell profitably in each account. The Market Sales Representative will be required to develop relationships and partnerships with our key customers in order to identify and respond to their needs and to become a consultant and a resource to help them be successful. The person will be responsible for Edmonton and Surrounding areas.

**Position Summary**:
Fundamental Area
- Drive sales through Prospecting. Maintain and enhance customer relationships.
- Prospecting is crucial in this role and one must prospect for new profitable business every day.
- Increase distribution market share and capture new business.
- Convert competitors product to Dawn manufactured and buy / sell products
- Attend and/or organize Dawn’s booths at customer trade shows and seminars.
- Utilize and maintain accurate forecasting methods to insure appropriate product availability
- Help manage product costs on behalf of key customers; insure uninterrupted suppliers.
- Assist with execution of quality sales meetings, food shows and other customer events.
- Support and assist other sales reps as needed.
- Participates in regional sales meetings, prepares and presents territory sales reviews and updates new business initiative projects.
- Prepares and presents periodic business reviews, forecasts, weekly and monthly reports.
- Reviews accounts receivable for customer orders to ensure payment within approved credit policies.
- Coordinates new product development through to completion with the customer and liaison with internal R&G and other departments.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Degree: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- Subjects: Sales
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- At least 3-5 years of experience in sales management of key accounts preferably with the food industry.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a progressively responsible sales role. Preference to individuals with marketing experience.
- Proven Experience in Prospecting
- Proven success in team environment is essential
- Strong Knowledge of Sales Cycle
- Consumer packaged goods / foodservice experience preferably in the baking industry
