**PCM Work Program Manager (Distribution Capital Programs)**

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00
**Position Highlights**
We are the Distribution Lines Capital Portfolio within BC Hydro’s Program and Contract Management group. We are
responsible for delivering $200 million in distribution infrastructure maintenance and replacements every year and piloting
new assets through Grid Modernization projects.
**What you'll do**
- The Distribution Line Overhead team:
- Replaces $100M annually; We replace end-of-life overhead poles, transformers, switches, reclosers, voltage regulators
and capacitors.
- New assets field trial and pilot programs (~$5M) to modernize the distribution system.
We work with stakeholders across the organization including Asset Management, Engineering, Standards, Field
Operations, Indigenous Relations, Customer Relations, and more to plan, build, and execute our work.
Specific responsibilities include:
You will lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of the work. You’ll be responsible for progress monitoring, reporting,
forecasting, problem solving and escalation. You will manage a program portfolio with an annual capital budget of $10-20
million, reporting to the Overhead Portfolio Team Lead. You will contribute to the success of this work, Program and
Contract Management, and BC Hydro.
How You'll Do It...
- Plan, execute, and deliver a $5-20M annual capital budget.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data with strong analytical skills to drive strategic decision-making.
- Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and delivery of programs.
- Communicate effectively (orally and in writing) to different levels within the organization to report on program progress and
escalate issues.
- Foresee, assess, manage, and escalate program risks or roadblocks during execution.
- Identify and implement innovative and efficient process improvements.
**What you bring**
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant work
experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 4+ years of project or program management experience.
- Proven experience managing $5M+ budgets.
- Demonstrated understanding of project and program management principles, including various delivery models,
and contracting strategies.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building.
- Have excellent organizational abilities for efficient task management.
- Demonstrate management skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive program success.
- Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is considered an asset.
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen to compliment analytical capabilities.
- Hold an understanding of electrical systems from generation to the end user, with a focus on distribution. This is
considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is considered
an asset.
