Production Assistant

**Position Purpose and Summary**:
The Production Assistant is responsible for generating, printing and receiving the daily production/Lamination work orders, monitoring and adjusting the parts inventory levels and ensuring that the production team has all the required information to produce efficiently.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Production Control
- Generates and prints the daily trial kit and schedule for drawer sides, Styrofoam and boxes.
- Issues the daily cycle count to the parts department and performs inventory adjustments.
- Enters invoices for transferring the daily production of finished goods from the production warehouse to the distribution warehouse.
- Generates, prints and sorts the daily production workorder.
- Deletes entered packaging jobs from the master production schedule.
- Performs daily receiving’s of workorders including labour posting, material kitting and job receipts.
- Prints the lip labels and instruction sheets for packaging.

**The People**:
Reports to the Department Manager

Key collaborators: Production Manager and Department Manager

**The Place**:

- Based out of Prepac’s Delta Facility.

Success Measures:

- Accuracy - 100% accuracy of all data entry and printing.
- Parts Inventory levels - Optimized SB inventory levels.
- Balanced production schedule - Maximized production efficiencies
- Culture - There is a culture of respect, hard work, integrity, team work and safety first. Through active coaching and mentorship, drives a culture of “can do” and getting the job done

**Qualifications**:

- Business diploma or Certification in a related field preferred
- 2 to 3 years of production control administration experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
- Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $47,000.00 per year
