Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Custodial Services, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all facilities at the REAL District. The Custodian supports all facilities by ensuring they are cleaned to REAL’s standards to provide a healthy and safe environment for all guests. This role will be required to maintain the interior and exterior of the buildings and their surrounding grounds which includes following cleaning processes and procedures outlined for each area or facility.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Maintains the interior and exterior of the buildings and their surrounding grounds.
- Keeps buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties including, but not limited to cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
- Ensures janitorial rooms are clean and stocked at the end of each shift.
- Performs other duties as required.

Block Schedule is Mon & Tues 4:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.

Wage $15.00 - $15.28

**Requirements**:
**WHAT IT TAKES**
- Knowledge of WHMIS program and Occupational Health and Safety Standards preferred.
- Knowledge/previous experience working with chemicals and janitorial machinery preferred.
- Must be able to follow directions and work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- Strong time-management skills and a proven track record of delivering quality results, with attention to details.
- Consistently arrive to work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
- Shift start & stop times and scheduled days may be adjusted during course of employment, based on operational requirements.
- Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, climbing stairs, and kneeling.
- Must be able to remain standing and walking for their entire shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
