**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
- Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay updated on current trends in sushi preparation and presentation to enhance menu offerings.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques specific to sushi making, including rice cooking, fish slicing, and rolling.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, preferably within a sushi or Japanese cuisine setting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on presentation and flavor balance in dishes.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
